What is Tao of Love and Sex?
It is all about loving in a healthier way!

TAO’S THREE PILLARS OF LIFE ARE:
Longevity depended on the strength of these pillars.

LOVING
FOOD
EXERCISE

TAO OF LOVE AND SEX is a six century B.C. ancient Chinese philosophy which was transcribed into a tasteful, yet explicit, text book by Lao Tzu, This book outlines how to attain longevity and health through the mastery of sexual skills. It is believed that Taoist physicians were the first sexologists to understand that good health, mental and physical longevity were closely linked to love making, and that love and sex could only be properly beneficial when it was totally satisfying.

The Tao focused mainly on helping men, but did not neglect to acknowledge women, who played a significant role in the philosophy of the Tao. Many Taoist masters and advisers were women. Taoists believe that men “belong” to fire which is easily extinguished by
women who “belong” to water. Taoists believed then, as we believe today, that assisting men to become better, healthier lovers will automatically benefit women.

Taoist philosophy is the belief that energy and momentum are the sources of life, and that, in the universal scheme of things, we human beings are tiny, insignificant and vulnerable creatures. Unless we are in harmony with life’s sources – the infinite force of nature – we cannot hope to last long.

To practice Tao one must be truly relaxed in order to become part of this infinite force. It was with this premise that the Tao of Loving developed. In keeping with their philosophy, Taoists place strong emphasis on sexual skills.
Taoists then, as Sexologists today, place a strong emphasis on tenderness and a sensitive attitude towards love and sex. They believed that if we want to do something well we must develop the proper skills first, like an artist who learns painting techniques. We then bring our full senses and imagination to bear on our painting in order to become a true artist.

Loving ecstatically and poetically is very much the same. The development of all our senses and imagination will lead us all to the path of true harmony of Yin and Yang. Tao’s three basic concepts that distinguish them from other sex studies are the regulation
of ejaculation, the importance of female satisfaction, and the understanding that the male orgasm and ejaculation is not necessarily one and the same thing – which became the centre point in the Women’s Liberation Movement, and earlier with sexual research scientists such as Kinsey, Masters & Johnson and others.

If you perceive love making as a natural gift and an act of love & healing in your relationship, you will be given the opportunity to harmonise your energies, enrich your communication & open the door to a more profound realisation of human spirituality.

Food
Aphrodisiac food - is it a source of sexual arousal or a source of nutrition?

Aphrodisiac foods have been used through the ages in the East and West .

As part of your Tao journey you will have the opportunity to explore local cultural beliefs regarding the foods that increase sexual arousal and sexual pleasure. Each country offers aphrodisiac foods and together we will learn the art of preparing stimulating dishes. Learn how to turn every dinner into a romantic dinner, with simple and easy nutritional aphrodisiac cuisine which promises to leave you with enough healthy desirable energy for a Tao of Loving session. Aphrodite was the Greek Goddess of Love. She was the 'Venus' of the Romans. Aphrodisiacs were given their name through the love of Aphrodite.

Throughout time, people have discovered special sources in plants, spices, animal parts, potions, and a variety of foods that contain sexual stimulants. Aphrodisiacs were first sought as a remedy for various sexual anxieties, including fears of inadequate performance, as well as a need to increase fertility. Food was not as readily available as today and a lack of nutrition led to undernourishment, creating a loss of libido as well as reducing fertility rates. A distinction was made between substances that increased fertility, and ones that simply increased sex drive. Various natural foods were considered stimulating because of their resemblance to both male and female genitalia.

Regardless of whether aphrodisiac foods are a psychological or visual sensory stimulation, in today’s affluent society where food is readily available, we tend to eat and drink too much. Over-indulgence in any form is harmful to us. Taoists, as with most nutritionists today, believed that a healthy body forms the basis of a healthy lifestyle. Nutrition was taken very seriously in ancient China and is just as important for us today. In our current stressful lifestyle, we can learn about healthy eating simply by observing the effect different foods have on our digestion and general health.

Exercise
For Taoists, exercise is regarded as one of the three pillars of life. Love making in itself is another important exercise for the body, but it is not enough. If we do not get enough exercise, we lose energy and we feel uncomfortable. As a result of today’s life style, many of
us suffer from a backache of some kind which can prevent us from enjoying love making.

Many easy forms of physical exercise can put us back on the right track, whether it be walking, bicycle riding or swimming.
On your Tao journey you will be given the opportunity to experience different forms of exercise, such as Tai Chi which represents the harmony of Yin and Yang, Walking Meditation on the beach, Belly Dancing that promises to awaken every fiber in your body, and even
Israeli Folk Dancing. But mostly you will learn the importance of proper breathing exercises which are essential to our spiritual, physical and sexual health.
