For those who do not know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Haya which means “Life” in Hebrew and in Arabic. I was born in Israel to Jewish - Egyptian parents. For the past 25 years I have lived in America, Australia, Vietnam and Egypt, and have been an independent traveller for over 20 years. Between 2004 and 2006 I led 34 tours through Indochina and the Middle East for a prestigious Australian travel company. These tours have shown me that there is a need to connect traveling with personal growth activities. As a therapist and a traveler, I strongly believe that Tao Holiday Retreats could be a wonderful
solution.
I gained my Master’s Degree in Human Sexuality [M.H.S] in 1992, and my Doctorate of Education in Human Sexuality [Ed.D] in 1996 from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality (IASHS) in San Francisco, California. I have been in private practice as a
Sexologist since 1996 and am the Founder-Director of the Sexuality and Relationship Centre in Western Australia. My Vision
Throughout my years in private practice and traveling around the world, I have met many people who spend their hard earned money on lavish vacations to strengthen their romantic relationships, only to find that it isn’t enough just to go somewhere exotic. Many people are unable to identify their sexual problems or they feel that the difficulties they experience in their relationships are not significant enough to warrant visiting a therapist. Instead, they spend money on expensive self-help books, which remain unread on the bookshelf.
Most people today are looking for an alternative to formal therapy, which can often feel clinical and intimidating, and can leave them still trying to unravel the question “is there something wrong with me?” Traveling can be a wonderful alternative to a clinic session,
especially for those who do not feel the need for therapy. But would rather be provided with the necessary skills to enhance their sexual life and relationships.
My goal
My Goal is to provide a professional and unique alternative to formal therapy for anyone who wishes to enrich themselves and their relationships.
For couples -
Provide couples with the opportunity to share quality time together, while gaining a deeper understanding of their relationships, both spiritually and sexually, during the Tao sexual workshops - a nurturing we often neglect to give to each other. I also want to give couples the rare opportunity to meet couples from all the around the world, to learn to recognize and appreciate the differences between cultures while celebrating the similarities. A true experience, promising to enrich couples’ lives in wonderful and unexpected ways, and to develop lasting friendships.
For individuals -
Provide individuals with the opportunity to enjoy private moments for self-learning and personal growth, both spiritually and sexually, through the study of Tao. I also want to give individuals the rare opportunity to meet other like minded travelers from all the around
the world, to learn to recognize and appreciate the differences between cultures while celebrating the similarities. A true experience, promising to enrich individual’s lives in wonderful and unexpected ways, and to develop lasting friendships.
From my own personal experience, I know first hand that traveling can open your eyes to new ways of seeing yourself and others. It teaches you to appreciate something different: whether it be cultures, customs, tastes, smells or ways of being. Traveling teaches tolerance, and I believe this is an essential lesson that couples and individuals alike can learn
whilst on holiday.
I currently reside between Vietnam, Israel and Egypt, facilitating Tao Holiday Retreats for couples and individuals.
